Maths Week

Monday 17th August saw the start of MATHS WEEK! Mrs Rai organised a maths completion where students had to solve maths problems each day in the library.

We ended the week with a Maths assembly where all the students shared their learning.

An amazing week of maths learning.

Last night, Mrs Rai, Miss Fortes and Mrs Galloway went to visit the Year 5 and 6 students on camp at Long Bay.

They were having an amazing time, having some free time in the park before dinner.

Maori Art Whanau Group

The students have been working hard on making their own taniwha though moulding.

Watch this space and find out what they will do next!

Graduation for Incredible Years for Parents

A huge congratulations to the parents who have successfully completed an amazing positive parenting programme.

The parents have attended for 2 hours each week, for the last 14 weeks and they have expressed how the course has changed their thinking about how to deal with tricky behaviour at home.

The parents were presented with certificates to mark the end of their hard work. Thank you to Russell Sua and Grant Taylor (the facilitators) for all your hard work.

Getting off to a Good Start with CAMP

Our Year 5 and 6 students all made it on time this morning to catch the bus at 8am to Long Bay for their school camp.

Mrs Galloway received a text from Mrs Kingston saying 'all arrived safely' and they were straight into activities'. We all hope they continue to have a great time despite the weather :-)

Give me a P, Give me a B, Give me a 4, Give me a L

This week the students and staff counted up the green tickets to see what rewards we would get for following the Hay Park Way. Which means:

Being Respectful
Being Safe
Being a Postive Learner

We celebrated in a PB4L assembly :-)
Ka pai to everyone
